Yo, I'm just curious here, but did I miss something a while back? You seem to touch on this issue periodically, and I'm curious as to why it's on your mind so frequently. Are you an ex-smoker? Did you lose someone?

Forgive me if my prying seems rude.

I smoked for 16 years, quit for good on 9/4/01. (Well, I've had one cigarette since then, but I've got a) bad company and b) a drunken stupor to back me up on that one.)

hmm. I think I mentioned back in a comment somewhere that my mother has smoked for 35 or 40 years ... Can't remember exactly where. But that's why smoking is often on my mind. ... renting a room from her and all, down here in Carlsbad.

DAMN, sorry man. No, I don't recall that, but I'm sure you did write about it.

I rent from my mom as well - shall we compare bills? She charges me close to $400 a month, and is always bitching that that isn't enough. :)

Most of my friends live at home, and none of them pay any rent at all. It makes me insane!!! I could be doing so much with that cash! haha

Glad to know there are fellow sufferers out there. I'm gettin' outta this joint as soon as I can! I'm just pissed that things are moving SOO SLOOWWLLY. It sucks to worry about bringing people over because of the noise factor. If you get my drift.
