Very true too. you both make valid points as well. at my job, people are considerate enough to keep the smoke away frm the non-smokers. but there are lots of other people at shows with a lame attitude and don't care about how uncomfortable it makes others. I like the idea of smokers going outside to a designated area to puff away. I think it's a fair trade for the choice a smoker makes.
but if someone is considerate about smoking, let them. they hurt themselves, but it's their choice.
to go back to garote's suv analogy, I think driving an suv is completely inconsiderate. that will harm everyone no matter how you cut it. Second hand smoke you can try to avoid (or others can keep it away from you), but the waste an suv makes affects everyone even if you're not even on the same road.
