Ladies and gentlemen, in relationships of any type.
Meditate on the imbalance in the following statement:

"Your problems are my problems because you tell me. My problems are your problems because you ask."

Having someone ask about problems doesn't obligate you to tell them.

Having someone tell you about their problems shouldn't obligate you to do anything (except maybe listen).

Just because someone voices a problem, doesn't mean they're looking for or want a solution.
