There's a tone of passive-agression or sarcasm. If anyone said that to me, I think I'd nod and silently decide not to talk with them anymore for anything serious. I wouldn't want them to feel like my time with them was burdensome, or open myself up for future doormatting.
Hmm ... unless this is my spouse addressing me (in which case it is simply true), this is a person who wants too much out of a friendship with me. This is someone who doesn't know what it means to mind their own business, and is likely to be a major pain in the ass, prone to well-intentioned meddling. If I heard those words coming from an acquaintance, I'd keep my distance for good!
