These are really nice photos, Garrett. Too bad the tree & slug ones are all out of focus and glary, because they would have been pretty cool. Not least because good photos of banana slugs can be hard to come by.
Those things do move pretty freakin' fast, now that I think about it! Perhaps since they're so huge, they're stronger than garden slugs and can pull themselves along more efficiently.
Yes! They rock! They can be found cruising around the trees and forest floors of the redwoods in Santa Cruz. After the initial shock at seeing a slug that large, most folks find them cute. I think it's the eyestalks that do it.
