All vehicles are designed to veer slightly to the right when hands are taken off the steering wheel, to prevent head-on collisions should someone fall asleep while driving.

(However, assuming your vehicle pulls more than just slightly to the right, you probably need to have some work done on the front end. This involves removing the upper control arms and slotting the mounting holes to accomplish wheel alignment adjustment.)

Actually, depending on whom you ask, cars (and trucks, etc.) are set up three different ways. Some say they are set to veer left slightly, in order to counteract the arch most roads have in order to shed rain. Some say they are set to veer right for the reason you mentioned in your post. Most mechanics I have spoken to simply set the steering to the center, for two reasons. One, the aforementioned arch in the road will take care of most "hands-off-wheel" situations. Two, it's a bit of a pain to set up steering so that it veers ever-so-slightly and doesn't feel like there's some misalignment.
