Alright ... it's time for extreme measures.

I'm going to the hardware store tomorrow. I'm gonna get a wooden fencepost, maybe two feet high, and two squares of white cardbord. At work I'm going to print out a phrase on two sheets of paper and paste them to the cardboard and staple the cardboard to the post. Then I'm going to take a towel, a folding chair, a hat, a drink, and a book, and walk down to the beach. Set up, and plant my sign next to me, and sit down and read my book.

The sign is going to read:

SINGLE Please say hello

What? What's funny? Something funny here? Why are you laughing?

I think if you make it too serious... then yeah it does seem pathetic and desperate...

but if you somehow make appear silly and making fun of yourself in a way then it could easily come off as endearing and possibly even charming... :P

The whole idea seems kind of irrelevant, I think: If you're engaged to someone, you can't be interested in going on dates. That's what being engaged signifies, right?
