She'd been caught while terrorizing a village, and was about to be killed, and Conan cut her rope and then rode away. So she grinned, kicked her way through the mob, stole back her own horse, then spit at her captors and rode away... Only to ask to join Conan's party because he was "the legendary Conan".
She beat up plenty of other guys, but not Conan! But still: Grace Jones turns out to be the best part of the movie, by far, because she goes way WAAAAAYY over the top.
As a kid I thought this movie was totally epic and serious. 25+ years later I am like, "what the hell? They are playing this like some kind of ultra-violent Looney Tune!!" At one point they show Conan is so stupid that he can't even count beyond 5. "Look Conan, it's not fair! She's surrounded by ten people!" "Uh... One, two, three, ... I _think_ you're right..."
