Tentative bike ride plan

So, I'm making tentative plans for a post-Christmas ride around the Southern California area, to meet up with friends and relatives. I'll start and end the trip in Carlsbad. Things that might happen:

• I may range as far north as Santa Barbara
• I may be on the road for as many as 5 or 6 days
• I may drop the idea if the weather remains this bad

I won't have any camping gear with me, so I'll be aiming to stay in cheap motels along my path.

Would any of you be interested in hosting a tired, slightly smelly geek and his bicycle overnight? Or just having one drop by to say hello?

Just create a device that releases one mouse a couple times a day into the house. Food AND exercise for the kitty!

Trouble is, it's so cold around here, the mouse would just scurry under the 'fridge and Mira would hear it... and roll over in her heated kitty-bed and go back to sleep :D
