Finally more backdated stuff

Had some free time and felt like taking a break from my bike project and assorted hackery, so I prepared two more entries from my old journal project.

Now, as you all know, I've made an awfully big deal about invoking a disclaimer, and pointing out that this stuff is from ten years ago or more, no last names, everyone's moved on, yadda yadda ... and then after all that, I've gone and posted things that were not even remotely risque. This time is rather different.

After these two days, I spent the next two days almost entirely at home carefully transcribing these events. I have always been a slow writer. At the time, part of me felt it was ludicrous to spend as much time documenting life as I did living it. But however foolish it may have seemed then, I am grateful for it now.

Was this edited for flow? I've sometimes spent hours writing about stuff that happened, but it's usually more stream of consciousness than this.

Reading this made me happy. What must have seemed a once-in-a-lifetime experience led to a relationship that didn't pan out. This sounds so stupid to actually write, but having been through something similar, emotionally I find it hard to accept that and move past. Which you've obviously managed.

Yeah, I'm glad I saved this. And yeah, for quite a while it was hard to accept and move past. The relationship I had after this one was with a woman who was the complete opposite in personality, and that helped to a degree. It helped me figure out the difference between who I was and who we had been together. But ultimately, it just takes time... Sometimes stuff happens that just does not resolve.

No, it flows fine. Quite the contrary, I was surprised to see it's so chronological. My notebooks usually start with however I feel about the events at the time of writing, then continue with various things as I think of them. This is practically literary in comparison.
