New York Jews are in a class by themselves, I think. (Perhaps that's why I married one.) Where in other major religions are there young people expressing such unprompted creative exuberance for their traditions?
Well, most of the "celebrating" I was thinking of was from the documentary/horror film Jesus Camp. Though I have seen videos of some of the things that go on during their revivals and worship ceremonies (speaking in tongues, near-epileptic fits during prayer, etc) and it is a bit frightening. Plus, articles such as this present some disturbing forshadowing.
