Mind you, my employer works with Nokia. And there is a lot about Nokia to like. In fact, I normally wouldn't even complain about the code (much).
But if there were ever something to point at as an example of just how expensive it is to write software, this is it. This phone costs $310,000, per unit, and that's still not enough to get you a higher level of software quality.
I have, in fact, considered starting a company based around doing customer software for elite-of-the-elite products like this for the ultra-rich. But you know what? I'm not sure they could afford them.
