Okay, so, while writing an angsty message in Donny's journal, I thought to myself, "arrr!", then I thought to myself, "wait a minute ... what day is International Talk Like A Pirate Day? Isn't it right around this time of year? Did I miss it?"

So I hit google and checked and ARRR SHIVER ME TIMBEEERRRS, THAT DAY IS TODAY.

ARRR!!! DON'T MISS OUT, YE SCURVY SCALAWAGS!! Dust off them pirate voices!

(By the way, Livejournal is aware of this event. Notice how your journal is now called "Captain's Log", your poster icon bears an eyepatch, and your new entry "submit" button is now called "submit to Captain's Log"?)

Ok, your post just caused me a massive mental rant that I'm still sorting through. The end result was that I discovered that December 5th is the Day of the Ninja. Of course, now I'm wondering, with all the debate of who would win, Ninjas or Pirates, why hasn't someone tried combining them? Ninja Pirates... or Pirate Ninjas... yeah, apparently I smoked a lot of crack and didn't notice. 8)
