It seems to be a new era problem that is difficult to comprehend. At my first workplace, little start up in Russia, there were 4 female programmers (gosh they were amazing) and one guy - the manager. After graduating I got a job at rather big software firm in Israel and ratio was approx 50/50. And for the last 10 years I work in Norway where gender equality is a top political issue for decades now and I am always the only woman. Next year my 16 years daughter is going to be the only girl in class of computer engineering line - girls choose other lines. At their age it can not be about working environment (which I always enjoyed) or interviews flow. Something else is going on.
