Oct. 23rd, 2012 06:22 pm* In today's weekly announcements: Come join the Ukulele Club, meeting Tuesdays! Also, attend the build-your-own catapult activity for kids at Lawrence Hall Of Science this weekend, and launch pumkpins across the quad!
* A new slide has been added to the slide show in the lobby: One of our staff has just been a guest on the Colbert Report, talking about his new book and his research.
* An email just forwarded around the lab. Paraphrased, it reads, "Hey, does anyone have any ideas for experiments they'd like to run on the International Space Station? We've got some space left over..."
WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO
Also, check this action out. It's a metabolic map of E Coli, with zoomable detail levels. I'm going to be whipping up something related to this ... BUT BETTER.
