Blood tests came back all normal, including the antibody test, except for the one for TSH. It's still low. I had a thyroid ultrasound and they discovered generalized inflammation, "the usual amount" of cysts, and one "nodule" on the left that my doc says should be investigated. So I've been referred to an endocrinologist.

Date: 2010-12-15 03:31 am (UTC)In the unlikely event that you have Graves Disease and they tell you your thyroid needs to go, make sure to ask about the option to have it surgically removed. What most doctors do is kill it with radioactive iodine, and may not even mention surgery as an option.
