If I hadn't been sentient for the last two presidential elections, I would say that surely that couldn't happen AGAIN and not have some kind of huge backlash. I still think there would perhaps be, but I have certainly lost my faith in the skepticism of the american public. We really are a country of people who trust that the system, by and large, works how it is supposed to.
