Well, who do you think?
At about 3:10 is a beat I need to steal, then again after he reaches down and adjusts the snare at 4:40. In fact, that 4:40 beat is freaking incredible. I've gone back and listened to it ten or fifteen times. That's the kind of riff that spawns an entire musical genre. (The crowd knows it too: they applaud. Heh heh.)
And then, of course, he goes double-bass at 5:45...

Date: 2007-06-29 05:30 am (UTC)I am visiting my family across California at the end of July. I would love nothing more than to come say hello to the fishes from the bay area either during the day or the evening on the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, or 29th. If there is any chance that the fishes would be around and available for some tea drinking or walks among trees. Or vegan ice cream. Etc etc etc.
RSVP (me) ASAP!
(Or sometime before July 20th!)
I hope you wonderful Santa Cruz folk are doing excessively well.
xoxo,
Julia.
