U.S. unprepared for Net meltdown, blue chips warn

Net meltdown? Pfffft.

The only thing that will save us from a "net meltdown" is to untangle and then reenforce our routing structure. Packets from Idaho destined for Montana do not need to travel through two COMSATs, an Arizona router, and a repeater in Miami. ... But the breakneck expansion of the internet has made a huge [expletive] star-shaped SPLAT out of what SHOULD be an evenly-spread and flexible network.

THAT'S WHY WE USE THE WORD """NETWORK""" PEOPLE. BECAUSE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A [expletive] """NET""". NOT A [expletive] AT&T / COMCAST MAYPOLE

So yeah, there's a hell of a lot of work to do. But it's the kind of work that the "Blue Chip"pers on that panel are
A. Not authorized to do, and
B. Not INTERESTED in doing OR paying for.

So they should quit posturing and wagging fingers at the government, and shut up.

Also: "Cyber Katrina" is the stupidest name I've heard ALL YEAR.
I'm going to cyber punch that cyber copyist's cyber [expletive] head in.
