Wow. He sticks it to religion like a dagger in the gut, and twists it hard. Though I agree with his principles and much of his reasoning, I also recognize that his sentiment is definitely not going to win new hearts over to his cause.
He's framed his presentation like a visit to the zoo. Look at those filthy hyenas, those dumb herd animals, so dangerous, so complacent! We must stop them! Instead I think he should have build his presentation as a direct address to the people he's concerned about. He could have even kept all the vitriol - even added more, and gotten personally involved in the confrontation:
"Hey you: Yes, you there, by the Virgin Mary apparition wall, trying to get your cancer cured. You know it's bollocks, right? You can admit that, right? If someone spit on the wall instead, would you commit violence against them? If so, you're the problem, not them, because this IS bollocks. You need to stay awake. Even while you're sick, or in need, you have to think about the time you're pissing away doing hopeless things like touching a stupid wall."
Watch him get into a fistfight, on camera, for offending someone. Let the whole thing stand as the performance.
