I'm going to write a book called "Supposedly Clever, But in Reality Overly Long and Stupid: Why Books with Colons in their Titles are Pretentious Bullshit." Actually, forget it, that title already says it all.

Seriously, I think when referring to such books we should strip the part after the colon, since it's really just a tagline.
