M2's "War Of Sound" Album Reconstructed
I promised Zog I would create alternate mixes of these that didn't have voice samples littering the soundscape like turds in a park. I cut almost all of them out, but couldn't resist adding a few selections of my own, for additional flavor. If you can guess the two films I borrowed from, then A Winner Is You.
I completed these over the weekend but forgot to post them. Enjoy! And thanks for the originals, Zoggo.
01: The Cry Of Morgoth (Cold Version)
02: Turbulent Sound (Second Verse, Worse Than The First Version)
03: Discord (War of Sound) (Back Off Baby Mix)
04: The Music Seized (Robot Edit)
05: The Scourges Of Fire (Tinnitus? No Thanks! Edit)
06: Thus Began Also (Experimental Mix)
07: In Ages Forgotten (Preacherless Edit)

About this music, what is it a remix of again?

Shit ... the vegan manifesto ... I have learned so much about food and nutrition and physiology since I wrote that... I'm still vegan, but I have to say, as far as really explaining anything, that essay needs a SERIOUS update. For starters, it needs a nice long section contrasting dairy product with meat, and discussing lactose tolerance. Then it needs a collection of case-studies, describing how I've dealt with various vegan-unfriendly situations. Arrghh...

As for the manifesto, I'd leave it alone if I were you. Just write a sequel.

Discord's my favorite track, hands down. The wailing vocal is so warm, then the oud (?) and drum track wake up... Just WONDERFUL stuff, full of head-nodding goodness.
The Music Seized is my 2nd favorite, probably because it feels like the opposite of Discord. This is a scary and vigilance-provoking track. I mean that in a good way. It might be because I thought it'd be cool to turn down the lights, put on a couple of scenes of Oldboy, turn down the volume on the t.v. and watch with the music on my headphones turned up...
Thanks for sharing your mixes. I always like hearing new stuff.
